New Work with The Ohio State University Alumni Association

Here’s an update on our recent brand experience projects with The Ohio State University Alumni Association!

The Ohio State University Alumni Association represents one of the largest universities in the nation. Following Ohio State University alumnus Les Wexner’s record $100 million gift in February 2011, the university received an outpouring of support from alumni, students and staff who told the stories of how their lives would be different, “But for Ohio State.” The Alumni Association responded with an initiative that highlights the accomplishments and breadth of Ohio State University alumni around the world, while providing potential and current students the opportunity to learn more about the university.

The Ohio Sate University Student Union made for the ideal location to showcase the university’s breadth of technology – Phenomblue equipped two interactive kiosks and a Microsoft Surface 1.0 with a variety of functionalities to engage users. The Surface app invites visitors to explore an interactive and multi-touch globe that shares where alumni can be found around the world. A Wheel of Careers displays the variety of degrees offered at Ohio State University, alongside a few of the alumni who have graduated with those degrees and gone on to have successful careers. Potential and current students can read tips and advice from alumni and also learn about the 100 Buckeyes that every student should know about.

Potential and current students can continue to learn more about the university through an interactive campus map, selecting and sending an e-card, sharing their story and a video player that attracts users to the kiosk. Phenomblue created a strategic plan for the kiosks that maximizes the opportunity for users to make the experience social, implementing the option to view others stories and share their own.
